Vejjasala, meaning 'a place for healing', is the retreat centre of the Association of Engaged Buddhists, nestled just outside Wingello in the Southern Highlands of NSW. This working bee weekend invites participants to contribute to the upkeep of the property through gardening, deep cleaning, and general maintenance, while enjoying a sense of community and shared purpose. Guests can attend for a full weekend or just a day, with flexible booking options to suit availability. Well-appointed twin-share rooms provide comfortable accommodation, and wholesome meals including fresh sourdough bread are provided throughout. Carpooling is available for those travelling by public transport. Well-suited to those drawn to Buddhist values, community connection, and purposeful activity in nature.
